Foreign Film Club

Following the success of Foreign Language film trips to the Cornerhouse Cinema in Manchester earlier this year, the PTA hasvery generously provided the funds necessary to start up a Foreign Language Film Club. Languages staff are currently building up a stock of subtitled films on DVD. We are trying to bring in as wide a range of films as possible, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know. The club, to be run via the Library, will start in the Autumn '06 term in Upper School with a limited selection of titles (see below). This will enable any glitches to be easily sorted at an early stage before the full range of titles is offered. If successful it should be possible to extend the club to Lower School.

Interested? To join the club all you will need to do is collect a form from the library (or print one off the school's website), fill it in and get it signed by parents / carers. Once this is done a separate Film Club Card will be issued. Cards will clearly show the holder's Date of Birth as film classification is to be strictly respected. Initially we will trial making borrowing free.

So, a big 'Thankyou' to the PTA, and happy viewing! Ms A Orde
