The pupils will look at different parts of the world via their classroom teacher. They will explore the project, culturally, morality, socially and spiritually across the areas of Drama, Dance, Music and Art.
Aims and Objectives
–
By the end of the project, the whole year group will have taken part in a performance, in front of an audience. The pupils will undertake performance based lessons so that they gain a spatial awareness. The pupils will also take ownership of their work based on the homework they have completed. The pupils will also gain an understanding throughout the whole of the curriculum lessons they take during the school day.

Three quarters of the lesson to be dedicated to an introductory lesson based on drama skills. Fifteen minutes of the lesson to be dedicated to introducing the topic “A Taste of the World”. Each drama class will look to study one continent from Europe, North America, Antarctica, Australasia or Asia. HWK – To research the country that you have selected. It would be best to divide the group into groups of 5 and give them an area of study – culture, religion, history, national flag and costume, or their national sport/food. |

| 2 | Brief discussion of the information found out. Pupils then to create a short role play to highlight the information that they have found. Watch and discuss. With the pupils, discuss ways that they could forward the performance. They are to write a short monologue form a narrator’s point of view that they could add to their previous piece. Teacher to collect the monologues in and either write a script or form a structure from what they have seen. | ||||||
| 3 | Start the devising the structure of the piece with a clear beginning, middle and end. The piece must inform the audience about the areas that were given for homework. The piece must include freeze frames, narration, role play and some physical theatre. | ||||||

Carry on with devising the piece. Teacher input is paramount as you have the vision that the pupils may not have. | ||||||
| 5 | Formulation of all the ideas into structured order for the performance. Pupil to rehearse their parts and then put it together. | ||||||
