scheme of work is suitable for a Year Seven class as a fun and exciting way of
exploring text through Drama.
AIMS
AND OBJECTIVES FOR THE WHOLE PROJECT:

Aim
– Is to give pupils the opportunity to work and rehearse with text in an
explorative environment.
Objectives –
1. To physically play around with the text
2. To be adventurous with the text in a practical way
3. For pupils to take responsibility for their own learning and their own performance
4. To encourage pupils to enunciate text with volume, clarity and definition
5. To interpret the text in a creative and imaginative way
6. To encourage pupils to act in an energetic, lively, committed and varied way
7. To understand text and communicate meaning to an audience

| 1 | Introduce the scheme of work and its aims. Get
the class warmed up with a selection of games. In Year Seven the games
will be as important as the drama created, especially as this will be
early in the school year. Introduce the idea of a skeleton script and
discuss it with the class. Give the class the main skeleton script to be
worked on and practise learning it and playing with it.
