RATIONALE: The reason for choosing this particular project.  (spiritual, moral, social, cultural.) 

This module is designed to let the pupils play a strong role which will be challenged by a range of situations. The pupils will learn how to fully become a new character and to make important decisions without placing immediate pressure. 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES FOR THE WHOLE PROJECT:

What you want to achieve and how you intend to achieve it. 

Aim - This module will teach the pupils the importance of role play. It will let the pupils use their imagination to be in a situation and sole problems. 

Objectives –

1.        To make the pupils fully aware of role play and the skills behind this.

2.        To let the pupils imagination direct the module

3.        To build up strong characters

4.        To approach emotional performance in a safe, realistic environment

5.        To use both teacher in role and pupil in role effectively

1  Teacher in role coordinating a project for the world government. Brief the class on going into role. Teacher explains to pupils what is happening to Planet Earth. Earth is being destroyed and the project wants to take people to the new planet called Paxron. Ages 25 - 40. Basic characterisation session. HWK - CV/Application form.
           
 2  Interviews to find out whether or not they have the qualities to go. Training course with the students making the training video. In role. Hot seating and video clips.            
 3  In role. Pupils in groups create a scene with one character explaining to his /her family that they are leaving for the planet. Mark the moment. Thought tracking. Freeze Frames.
           
 4  Setting up the spaceship. Whole class role play. Take the class through the whole process. Allocate a range of jobs for the kids. Freeze frames and thought tracking to get a range of responses and feelings. Teacher in role. Typical day on board the spaceship. Landing.            
 5  On the planet. What is life like on the planet? In groups explore the new planet. Give the class the situation that they can not get home? What have they found? Rumours! ie. Miracle cure for cancer, new creature, no way home! Create a piece to go towards a final performance next week. HWK - Diary/notebook of what has been found. Show and tell.

Give the class a chance to rehearse or show and tell. Share performance. QMA assessment based on performance and homework.
